Hi David,

Not too bad - got 935/1000 with pass mark 804.

Will crack on with the ICND2 now so will be back in touch next week maybe depending on how it goes.

Cheers!

David,

By the way I have a fantastic job as a network engineer with Lockheed Martin Corporation primarily as a result of my CCNA certification.

Thanks is part to you and the study material provided by configterminal.

I am planning on persuing the SNRS certification beginning late this year and I am counting on using configterminal to achieve my goal.

Thanks again

Thanks for the EBook David.

I'd not used the 'alias' commands before - very very helpful !

David,

Thanks! It went very well,

I passed the test. Yehaw!

I attribute my success to the time spent using the CCNA Knowledge Verifier testing application.

It covered important concepts and operational tasks that were covered on the CCNA test.

The Command Line Memorizer section provided additional insight into many of the troubleshooting exercises.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi David,

I've only just scratched the surface with the CCENT Sims and they are just superb.

The Sims are exactly what I needed to pass and are therefore a godsend.

Many thanks to yourself for putting something so brilliant together.

Dear David

thanks for the latest newsletter.

The section about macros came just at the right time and with very useful examples

best regards

Thanks for the answer, it's been getting to me for months, and I just keep forgetting to ask you for a solution. You have no idea how much time that little command is going to safe me. I'm working on a huge security network which has over 80 firewalls some of which have over 3000 lines of access-lists.

It's a pain in the neck trying to find a single host with a certain port to see if the access-list exists, so this is going to safe me a stack of time :)

FREE GUI interface to Dynamips/Dynagen - GNS3 E-mail
Written by David Bombal

Now, this is the way to run emulated Router & PIX Hardware! A GUI front end to Dynamips/Dynagen. This really takes out the pain of using Dynamips.

From the GNS3 team:
"GNS3 is a excellent complementary tool to real labs for administrators of Cisco networks or people wanting to pass their CCNA, CCNP, CCIP or CCIE certifications.

It can also be used to experiment features of Cisco IOS or to check configurations that need to be deployed later on real routers. This project is an open source product that may be used on multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS X."
